Nirvana Adventures hosted a bunch of very special guests at the Shelar site. 70 children from St. Catherine's Home, an orphanage in Mumbai came over for an evening of paragliding. The children were thrilled to see the gliders at close range and were all eager to give it a try. This was the opening day of their 3 day adventure camp held by the Siemens Workers Union at Malavali, Lonavala a part of their Corporate Social responsibility commitment. CSR is not new for Nirvana Adventures in fact it was interesting to see the youngest 3 members of our crew, our greatest CSR initiative so far, share the secrets of kiting the glider with these 70 kids from the city. Ravi, Bandya and Sandeep are local village children who have been around at the Shelar site since the time we started paragliding here 10 years ago.

Large number of P1 pilots have taken that extra step towards making paragliding their hobby. The conditions at Kamshet were perfect to get started with P2 course. Laminar winds, sweet conditions and extended soaring flights.
P2 pilot count has gone up. As part of Nirvana Flying Club they enjoy post learning support thanks to the large stocks of flyable equipment at Nirvana Adventures. P2s can land up for the weekend stay at Native Place, rent out equipment from us and have a fantastic time as they did during your course. All at special rates for our Nirvana club members so let the good times roll. Write to Sanjay for full details and bookings.

We have been hosting visiting pilots since the early days in 1997. Recently we have been attracting groups on guided flying holidays from schools and clubs looking forward to good weather and winter sunshine when conditions may not be that exciting back home.
December 06 & January 07 Native Place and Nirvana Adventures hosted Philippe Grimpaillou and his groups of French and Belgian pilots. Then in February 07 there was Peder with his group from Sweden. With every single day being sunny & flyable, topped up with great infrastructure and logistics support resulted in our guests going back home with great flights, hours of airtime, interesting experiences and plans to be back.

Season 2006-07 opened in October with a batch from INS Garuda the flying wing of the Indian Navy. Teaching aviators was an interesting experience.
