Sunith Rao makes his mark in Paragliding

In the month of July 2018, 21-year-old Sunith Rao embarked on a 2 month long flying trip to Italy, Spain & Macedonia his father’s blessings and mine. In the Gin Wide Open, he came away with the first place in the leisure class making the Fly Nirvana family proud and his hosts Nicky Moss and Geordie Pensalo of FlyAger very happy.

Sunith had a great start in the comp as he finished with a joint first with Gin team pilots Richard Bungay and Yuki Sato on the practice task , but …..

Nirvana Adventures End of Paragliding Season Party – June 2018

It was a convergence of friends old and new; paragliding pilots, surfers, entrepreneurs, adventurers and thousands of fireflies came together to celebrate Nirvana Adventure’s 20th Anniversary paragliding season end. Local drums got us all into a dancing frenzy, while the myriad fireflies lit up the trees around.

Now on a holiday in India with friends from NZ Sinchan organised for all of them to sign up for an Elementary Pilot Course. His close friends from Mumbai joined in too. The allure of the skies and the happy atmosphere at Native Place, swims in the lake, afternoon naps in the hammock, yoga in the evenings, fun get togethers, bbq’s and shooting star spotting has kept their friendship and their love for this getaway alive and evergreen.

mid-week flying is definitely something I’ll recommend and it goes on the top of the list of best times to visit Fly Nirvana. And honestly if I had to choose between the madness of the holiday season vs the quiet mid-week solitude, I would pick both. Why choose when you can have the best of both? 🙂

Nirvana End of Paragliding Season & firefly watch – May 2015

We had an awesome end of season celebration last weekend with pilots and well wishers dropping by from all over. Pilots gathered at Native Place in the morning and the excitement of meeting familiar faces and catching up with old acquaintances lent a happy holiday feeling all around.
