Italy – Slovenia – France – Netherlands – Spain

On the 24^th of May 2019 Sunith Rao took off on a two-month long trip to Europe. He was on the competition trail once more.  Last year (2018) he made his first foray into competition flying in Europe – Click to read.

This time he planned to participate in 3 competitions in 3 countries and here’s how he fared.  He returned with 3 trophies, one for each comp:

• Naviter Open 2019 –  Tolmin – Slovenia
• Ozone Chabre Open 2019 –  L’aragne – France
• Pre PWC Piedrahita Open  2019  – Piedrahita Spain

Thanks to Sunith Rao the Fly Nirvana T-Shirt was seen on podiums across Europe yet again.

The entire FlyNirvana family is proud of him. Sunith is a testimonial to the training pattern and philosophy of Nirvana Adventures the pioneering paragliding school founded by his parents Astrid & Sanjay Rao. We look forward to training more competent pilots and mentoring them to achieve their paragliding goals.

Before getting to his first competition, Sunith visited old friend Chicco Patuzzi  at  Taceno, Italy. Chicco has been visiting Nirvana Adventures, Kamshet  for over 10 years now.

Sunith also travelled to the Iconic Dune De Pyla in France with Chicco to catch up with a bunch of pilot buddies and to try his hand at Wagga (acro flying close to the forgiving sand dunes).
